Students will be introduced to the wonderful world of programming with Python using the massively popular game of Minecraft! That’s right, learn to program AND play with Minecraft, can it get any better than that? At the beginning of this camp, students will learn the basics of computer programming using Python then use their new skills to modify Minecraft to produce instant and totally awesome results. Students will use Python IDLE, an Integrated Development and Learning Environment that comes free with Python to easily create, modify, and run their Python programs. By the end of the camp, students will know the basics of programming (variable, conditional statements, loops, and more) as well as how to use Python to do all kinds of amazing things in Minecraft!
